Charlestown is a beautiful 110-acre continuing care retirement community located just minutes from Baltimore in the charming neighborhood of Catonsville, Maryland. We are hiring an Engineering Supervisor for our award-winning, gated retirement community. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the mechanical-related systems area.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $80,000 per year

How you will make an impact:

• Carry out company policy and duties as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Supervise and train the engineering staff in the safe and efficient operation of the Central Plant and Energy Management Systems. 
• Responsible for the preventative maintenance and major maintenance of Central Plant Machinery.
• Supervise and train the HVAC mechanics to do preventative maintenance, major maintenance, and emergency calls on all HVAC equipment campus-wide.
• Responsible for the formulation and implementation of energy savings operations.
• Formulate a “sequence of operations” to best utilize the central plant machinery.
• Maintain proper and adequate inventory of spare parts.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2 years of Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of computerized energy management systems.
