Tallgrass Creek is a beautiful 65-acre continuing care retirement community located in Overland Park, just minutes from Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri border. We’re part of a growing network of communities managed and developed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing. 

We are hiring a Community Resources Coordinator to bring their passion for resident engagement to our campus. This position will act as a resource for residents in the creation of activities and organizations within the community.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience up to $22.00 per hour.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partnering with residents in the planning, promoting, and coordinating of activities and events in the community.
  • Facilitates and maintains communication among residents regarding activities and events among residents and various staff.
  • Monitors bulletin boards, display cases, and community resource spaces.
  • Coordinates booking of rooms for activities and events.
  • Performing preliminary work for monthly calendars.
  • Facilitating communication regarding activities among residents and staff.
  • Creating flyers for events; writing articles for community bulletins.
  • Arranging audio/visual equipment with vendors for presentations.
  • Supports Community TV Coordinator with production, editing, videotaping, and projects as needed
  • Serving as the information center for resident inquiries.

What you will need:

  • High school diploma (GED) is required. Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years service-related experience (volunteer or public service).
  • Experience with senior population preferred.
