Tallgrass Creek is a beautiful 65-acre continuing care retirement community located in Overland Park, just minutes from Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri border. We are hiring Servers who are responsible for serving residents and guest meals in a friendly, service-oriented manner. The server records and inputs into the POS system beverage and food orders, delivers and serves food, ensures exceptional guest service. This position requires the ability to multi task with a sense of urgency. Assignments can include Serving, Busser, Runner, Meal Plater, Catering, Meal Preparation, and Utility. Bartending or serving alcoholic beverages may be included.

Compensation: $12.00 - $19.00 per hour based upon experience

Bistro Shift: Tues - Fri 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. & Sat 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

How you will make an Impact: 

• Ensure a smooth and timely experience for all guests
• Become a subject matter expert on menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Serve drinks and food to guests.
• Inform guests of daily specials, making recommendations if applicable
• Greet guests promptly as they arrive at their table 
• Record accurate food & beverage orders and input them into the POS system

What you will need: 

• Meet the state’s age requirement for serving alcohol (if applicable)
• Experience in a kitchen/service environment preferred. 
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills
