Siena Lakes by Erickson Senior LivingWe are hiring a Facilities Manager for our award-winning, gated retirement community. The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the housekeeping and transportation departments.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $77,518 / year.
How you will make an impact:
- Director in developing, tracking, and analyzing quality control measures and data to ensure that each department supervised delivers quality service in an efficient manner.
- Lead periodic surveys and audits of facilities and grounds to ensure compliance with safety-related legal requirements.
- Ensuring the clean, sanitary and presentable, the appearance of our buildings within our gated community
- Prepare daily assignments and schedules to include established routine duties to the housekeeping staff as well as special areas.
- Tour the facility periodically, covering each assigned area to observe the housekeeping staff at work and to ensure instructions and safety rules are being followed.
- Inspect premises to determine next assignments and to ensure that trash/garbage removal meets with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including receiving dock areas and the grounds surrounding the area.
- Teaches staff how to use new equipment and cleaning methods to provide a most efficient and economical method for maintaining the facility.
- Trains new employees, assigns tasks, and closely supervises until fully trained. Coaches and counsels housekeeping staff; performs interim and annual performance appraisals.
- Maintain an inventory of housekeeping supplies, materials, and equipment. Prepare requisitions for replacement inventory. Inspect equipment and furnishings and prepares work orders for maintenance.
- Keeps records/audits, cycle cleaning, and common areas of the facility that have to be cleaned on a weekly, monthly, semi-monthly or annual basis
- Investigate and resolve housekeeping-related complaints.

What you will need:
- High School diploma or GED required College degree preferred.
- Professional Security Certification such as CPP, PSP, or CHPA (preferred)
- A current and valid state’s driver license is required
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a Company vehicle.

HOUSEKEEPING:
- Manage the housekeeping functions of assigned personnel.
- Oversee the scheduling of work assignments.
- Review and resolve complaints from residents, departments and staff.
- Provide disciplinary steps related to problems with all staff, up to and including termination.
- Management of the solid waste and recyclable program.
- Ensure timely evaluations and job training for all staff.
- Manage the oversight of entire community’s set-ups and arrangements for all events.
- Oversee the internal pest control program for internal community spaces on an on-going basis.
- Coordinate succession planning and career development initiatives for all members of the departments supervised.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies and equipment necessary to maintain the cleanliness of all facilities.
- Routinely conduct quality control inspections for entire facility to determine housekeeping needs and deficiencies.
TRANSPORTATION:
- Ensure all new drivers are trained in operational and safe driving procedures.
- Develop and maintain current pricing policies for routine and customized trips.
- Establish driver schedules for “Off Hours” operation
- Schedule customized trips upon request
- Arrange campus-wide fleet rotation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Responsible for obtaining pricing and the purchase of new vehicles and carts campus-wide.
- Oversee the Transportation Department’s dispatching operation
- Evaluate road conditions during inclement weather and decide when to modify/cancel operations or routes.
- Responsible for the necessary billing of trips
- Develop and maintain operational budget for department
- Resolve resident customer complaints regarding private sedan and shuttle service.
