Interested in furthering your career in Human Resources?  We are a very busy and engaging HR department looking for an HR Coordinator to join our small but mighty team of four.  This role’s main responsibilities include the following: coordinating the onboarding process for future employees; helping current employees with any HR related questions they have – from HR system set-up to FMLA related questions; partnering with home office; and working closely with the HR team to exceed community expectations.  Confidentiality and ability to build trust is critical!  The position requires at least one year working hands-on in an HR department and the ability to shift priorities as needed.  Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with advanced computer and data entry skills, are also required. Ideal teammate will be bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole.

How you will make an impact

  • Coordinate and monitor benefits plans for health, tuition reimbursement, and retirement programs.
  • Develop and/or implement community-specific employee communication to enhance the understanding and appreciation of benefits programs
  • Participate in recruitment activities (i.e., career fairs, college fairs, open houses, etc.)
  • Process new hire paperwork, coordinate required medical testing, input background checks to appropriate agencies, and ensure compliance with government and organization recordkeeping requirements
  • Provide consultative end-user transaction processing guidance in systems such as Workday and UKG
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate staff development programs, including new employee orientation
  • Enter employment-related transaction data into the Workday system from source documents during the new hire/recruitment process

What you will need

  • Please read: The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requires all new hires to successfully complete and pass an extensive Level 2 background screening, which covers U.S. Federal, State and City checks (submitting fingerprints), prior to the start of employment.   • Minimum of 1 year of HR-related experience or equivalent education
  • Experience with an HRIS program, Workday preferred
  • PHR certification desirable
