Compensation:
Commensurate with experience between at $83,558.00 - $85,000 annually plus eligibility for annual bonus
How you will make an impact:
Oversee the daily operations of Communications and Transportation, ensuring efficiency, safety, and exceptional service delivery.
Partner with the Director to track performance metrics, analyze data, and continuously improve quality and productivity.
Ensure departments meet financial targets and reporting deadlines.
Lead both supervisor and team meetings, keeping staff informed, aligned, and engaged.
Conduct regular quality assurance checks through resident feedback, surveys, and inspections.
Drive employee performance through coaching, timely evaluations, training, and corrective actions (up to and including termination).
Champion succession planning and career development for team members.
COMMUNICATIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Supervise Communications Front Desk Associates.
- Supervise General Services Coordinators
- Hire and train all Communications and Coordinators staff to provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform ongoing quality assurance for the department to ensure proper service levels.
- Analyze operations of the department in order to improve established procedures.
- Studies prior budget control in order to establish improved financial conditions.
- On call for any problems that may arise.
- Prepare evaluations for the staff.
- Responsible for the planning of meetings for the entire department.
TRANSPORTATION
- Hire and train all drivers (CDL & Non CDL).
- Oversee and endure DOT compliance.
- Ensure all new drivers are trained in operational and safe driving procedures.
- Develop and maintain current pricing policies for routine and customized trips.
- Establish driver schedules for “Off Hours” operation
- Schedule customized trips upon request
- Arrange campus-wide fleet rotation for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Responsible for obtaining pricing and the purchase of new vehicles and carts campus-wide.
- Oversee the Transportation Department’s dispatching operation
- Evaluate road conditions during inclement weather and decide when to modify/cancel operations or routes.
- Responsible for the necessary billing of trips
- Develop and maintain operational budget for department
- Resolve resident customer complaints regarding private sedan and shuttle service.
What you will need:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in dining room management, service, and sanitation (up to 1 year of dietetics experience may be substituted) required.
Current Serv-Safe certification or state-specific equivalent is preferred.
Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
Proven ability to supervise multiple venues and manage large teams.
Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Experience working in a continuing care environment is required.
What We’re Looking For
Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Experience managing company fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, DOT compliance, fuel programs, and emergency response services.
Experience partnering with national fleet management vendors to support fleet performance, maintenance, and compliance initiatives.
Experience collaborating with resident-led committees and other stakeholder groups to coordinate transportation programs, trip planning, and related initiatives.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage sensitive situations, de-escalate resident concerns, and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast expenses, and drive operational efficiency.
Analytical mindset with experience tracking and improving performance metrics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new systems.
Knowledge of routing, dispatching, and transportation operations is a plus.
Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and lead in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Experience in Communications and/or Transportation Management preferred.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving standards required for transportation oversight.
